Ron Artest Fight Video

Ron Artest Fight also known as The Malice at the Palace or Pacers–Pistons brawl or The Basketbrawl is one of the most infamous fights that has happened during a National Basketball Association game.

The game was between the Detroit Pistons and Indiana Pacers and took place in The Palace of Auburn Hills on November 19, 2004.

It all started just a minute before the end of the game when Ben Wallace of Pistons was fouled by Ron Artest. Wallace then attacked Artest which lead to a confrontation between many players from both teams. And so the infamous Pacers–Pistons brawl began.

During the time players from both teams were arguing to each other, Ron Artest laid on the scorer’s table and put his headset on. Suddenly a fan of Pistons threw a can of Coke at Artest which hit him in the chest. Artest jumped up and ran into the stands and punched the man who he believed was responsible.

Stephen Jackson of Pacers then also ran to the stands and started throwing punches at fans. Eventually players from both teams were in the stands and many spectators ran out on to the court to get away from the brawl. The struggle continued for a while.

As a result, nine spectators reported injuries and two of them were taken to the hospital. The players did not get injured during the Ron Artest Fight.

All in all nine players (including Artest, Jackson, Wallace and O’Neal) were suspended from the upcoming games because of the fight. Ron Artest was suspended for the remainder of the season, which totaled not playing in 86 games

Chapters: Aba-nba Merger, Nba Store, Nba at 50 Signature Basketball Collection, National Basketball Association Cheerleading, Nba Summer League, Rocky Mountain Revue, Orlando Pro Summer League, Entertainment League. Excerpt: The ABANBA merger was the merger of the American Basketball Association with the National Basketball Association, which after multiple attempts over several years finally occurred in 1976. In 1967 there were only ten teams in the NBA, and the league was resistant to expanding and charged very high prices ($1.5 million in a time before any significant NBA television contract; over $8 million in 2007 dollars) for expansion teams. As a result, businessmen in several cities decided to establish an alternative professional basketball league to compete with the NBA, with an eye toward an eventual merger with the NBA. The competition between the ABA and NBA included often-brutal fights to sign the best players. The ABA also made a bold move by signing the NBA’s best officials (referees) to officiate ABA games. In June 1970, only three years after the ABA began play, the NBA owners voted 13-4 to work toward a merger with the ABA. Seattle SuperSonics owner Sam Schulman, a member of the ABANBA merger committee in 1970, was so ardently eager to merge the leagues that he publicly announced that if the NBA did not accept the merger agreement worked out with the ABA, he would move the SuperSonics from the NBA to the ABA. Schulman also threatened to move his soon-to-be ABA team to Los Angeles to compete directly with the Lakers. The owners of the Dallas Chaparrals (now the NBA’s San Antonio Spurs) were so confident of the impending merger that they suggested that the ABA hold off on scheduling and playing a regular season schedule for the 1971… More:

A boy born without arms or legs tells his own amazing story!Oto came home from school one day and told his parents he had signed up to play basketball. Most parents would be delighted; his were shocked. After all, Oto was born with no arms and no legs. But as this extraordinary young man has proven again and again, hard work, humor, versatility, and an upbeat approach to life are as valuable as limbs. No One’s Perfect is his true account of how he slam-dunked one challenge after another, including basketball. In a style purposefully meant to reach all ages, Oto writes about his unique childhood in Japan, a country that traditionally has shielded the disabled from the public eye. But hide Oto? Try hiding the sun! From his earliest days, he brought such a winning optimism into the crowds around him-curious kindergartners, skeptical members of the public school board, gaping passersby-that it was hard to resist him. Now, as a young adult, Oto has taken on the work of establishing a "barrier-free" environment for others, in the government, in the media, in the eyes of all he meets. His book has sold over four million copies in Japan, where he has utterly changed the way people view the disabled.Unsentimental and understated (you know the day-to-day routine can’t have been as easy as he makes it sound), Oto’s message nonetheless hits the heart. And though you need bravery and constant energy to overcome disabilities, you also need the understanding of those around you. Strong parents and unconventional teachers bucked the rigid status quo to give Oto a chance at a normal life, and he took it from there. Running races, learning to swim, even getting into fights, he made his classmates feel "He’s one of us," so they were willing to join forces with him to help break down the barriers he faced.

PRESENT TENSE. It’s the day of the high-school prom, and Norm Prescot, a love-smitten teenager, is beset with doubts. Will his girlfriend, Ann, keep their date or will she claim that she has to stay at the bedside of her aunt Gladys, who (she says) has been stricken with gallstones? As he waits, Norm’s agonies multiply: Does Ann really have an Aunt Gladys? Or is she just using that as an excuse to pick up with her ex-boyfriend, Doug, a thick-headed jock, who is not only captain of the football, baseball and basketball teams but also Norm’s obnoxious editor on the school newspaper? In a series of imaginative (and very funny) blackouts Norm’s worst fears become real as we see all that is going on inside his head through wildly exaggerated daydreams depicting the fear and embarrassment of possible rejection by the girl he loves and the gnawing suspicion that she has not been faithful to him. All ends happily, however, when Norm is jarred back to reality by Ann’s arrival—and, with a sign of relief, accepts her assurances that she really does love him after all. (3 men, 3 women.) PERSONAL EFFECTS. The scene is the living room of the Mallory’s Midwestern home, where Kevin Mallory, a rather meek and malleable high-school student, who has a history of striking out with girls, has decided to give a party (hopefully an orgy) in his parents’ absence. Encouraged by his more “sophisticated” friends, Artie and Bill, Kevin invites Eileen Sorenson, a new girl at school whom he’d like to get to know better and who, his buddies claim, is “hot” for him. However, all of Kevin’s plans go quickly and hilariously awry, and the party descends into chaos as fights break out, advances are rejected andresentment mounts. After the dust settles, Kevin comes to terms with the fact that he and his cohorts have behaved like jerks and that in order to be accepted by a girl she must be treated like a person and not an object. The blinding realization points Kevin toward a new direction in his

Trash Talk

Football, baseball, basketball, hockey – pro athletes revolt! Too many fights, too many problems, lousy image! The commissioners are fed up and players are angry at mandated, educational seminar attendance! But that’s what happened, and the commissioners aren’t backing down. All pro athletes have to attend a course or seminar unrelated to sports every year. It looks like dark days for the athletes until one of them sees an ad for the upcoming S.E.S. “Trash Talk” symposium. How perfect is that? None of the athletes knew, or even cared, what S.E.S. was, but trash talk was their specialty. Word of the meeting spread among the athletes like wildfire. They could not apply fast enough. The annual Environmentalist Society Meeting, hosted by the Sarasota Environmentalist Society (S.E.S.), will be a surprise of a lifetime when the world of professional athletes collides with the world of professional environmentalists in an explosion of laughter. What happens next is worth the price of admission!
