basketball for kids online
Best video camera/recorder for under $300?

I have absolutely NO technology smarts at all, so…
I’d like advice on an inexpensive video camera for shooting family home videos and my kids basketball games. I’ve done quite a bit of window shopping online but there’s just so many variables and I have no idea what to even look for so any suggestions would help.
Even if you don’t know a particular camera I should get, maybe you can advise me on what sort of options and such that I should look for.
10 pts to the person with the most thorough and easy to understand answer.
Thanks all!

if you’re shooting basektball games then you’ll need a dvd or DV camera. I recommend a dvd camera instead of a hard drive camera that way you can swap out the memory when it fills up.

go to best buy. they will walk you through your options. i’ve always found the best deals a fry’s electronics though.

He Got Game: The Music of Aaron Copland (Motion Picture Soundtrack)

$4.99

Director Spike Lee states, “When I listen to Aaron Copland’s music, I hear America, and basketball is America.” That may be far-fetched for those who saw Lee’s film, especially when the only other music in the film was that of Public Enemy. On its own, though, this album is a welcome “greatest hits” collection of Copland’s Americana. The CD and the movie start off with John Henry, a slow-building,…

It replaced a high school that had burned down in 1945, and was designed by Freeman, Hayslip and Tuft of Portland, Oregon. The high school has been used as a Red Cross shelter during floods. In 1991, Gennie Sluder, a student, created the “Help Hungry Kids Clatskanie High School Challenge” which organized all high schools in Oregon in a food drive. Awards to the top high schools were presented at the spring Oregon Student Council Convention, and over 58,300 pounds (26,400 kg) were collected. Sluder was awarded the Young American Medal for Service in 1991, which was awarded by President Bill Clinton in the East Room of the White House. Gennie also received the Stone Soup Award from the Oregon Food Bank and the Tom McCall Great Kids Award. The school was recognized by the New York Times in 1997 for their participation in the National Association of Secondary School Principals “Help Hungry Students” food drive, part of an effort to include civil education in schools. In 1999, David Allen Holmes, a student at Clatskanie, brought a 9mm Makarov pistol to school and allegedly planned on shooting a man that evening. Jamie Lane Gann was accused of befriending Holmes to get him to murder her boyfriend. Excerpt: Kentucky Colonels 1972-74 Utah Stars 1974 Memphis Sounds 1974-75 Richard Carl (Rick) Mount (born January 5, 1947 in Lebanon, Indiana) is a former American basketball player in the American Basketball Association (ABA). He was the first high school athlete to be featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated magazine. Rick Mount’s father, Pete, was an avid basketball player who intended Rick to learn the game as well. He cut out the bottom of a peanut can so Rick could shoot tennis balls through it. Rick’s first time playing with an official basketball goal was during the fourth grade. He was known to beat 8th and 9th graders. When it was time to try out for the school basketball team, he wasn’t able to do a standard lay up, so that very night he practiced for hours until he had it down. The next day of tryouts, he made the team. During the summers, Rick worked as a lifeguard. Learning by repetition, he would shoot for hours at a time between shifts at the local Memorial Park. He gave kids ice cream money to help retrieve loose balls. After the likes of Glen Roberts and Paul Arizin, Rick later helped establish the idealistic jump shot form before it was ever textbook, influencing a number of future shooters at all levels in the sport. Rick “the Rocket” Mount attended Lebanon High School in Lebanon, Indiana. There, he led his team in scoring, including 33.1 ppg throughout his junior and senior seasons. His game started to attract national attention. In 1965, Lebanon played Crawfordsville High School at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. With 10,000 people in attendance, the team made enough money to buy a bus. He scored 57 points in the game. On February 14, 1966, Mount became the first high school athlete to appear on the cover of Sport… More:
