Basketball Layup

Tips on how to make the basketball team?
Tryouts are tomorrow after school. This is for a middle school basketball team. I REALLy want to make the team. I need some actual tips from you guys, not some article on the internet unless its really helpful. Also, I can shoot threes pretty well, ball handling average, nothing fancy, i learned how to layup with the left hand, and i always play with the good people at my school.
bro, just hustle! i swear one year i rode the bench because i didnt hustle but i was still good, the next year i never got to sit down, just cuz i hustled. coaches LOVE it when you go hard. if you are good at threes, show that you can drive too so you are not just on dimension. if you can shoot good and go hard in the paint, all while hustling, you WILL make the team. good luck bro

St. Bonaventure Bonnies Men’s Basketball Coaches: Jim O’brien (Basketball, Born 1949) $9.53 Purchase includes free access to book updates online and a free trial membership in the publisher’s book club where you can select from more than a million books without charge. Excerpt: Jim O’Brien (born April 9, 1949 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American college basketball coach who has served as coach of St. Bonaventure University (1982-1986), Boston College (1986-1997), and most recently as the twelfth head coach of Ohio State University men’s basketball team (1997-2004). O’Brien was hired as head coach on April 7, 1997 after Ohio State had fired previous coach Randy Ayers. O’Brien guided the Buckeye program to the 1999 Final Four, 2000 and 2002 Big Ten regular-season co-championships, the 2002 Big Ten Tournament Championship, four 20-win seasons and a school record four-consecutive NCAA tournament appearances (1999-2002). On June 8, 2004, then-Ohio State athletic director Andy Geiger fired O’Brien for alleged NCAA rules violations. After a trial during which the former Chairman of the NCAA Committee on Infractions testified that O’Brien had not engaged in a violation of NCAA rules, the Ohio Court of Claims determined that Ohio State breached its contract with O’Brien by terminating him and that the school engaged in conduct that was “not consistent with good faith and fair dealing” in terminating Coach O’Brien and awarded him $2.4 million. A high school honorable mention All-American at St. Francis Prep in Brooklyn, O’Brien went on to attend and then graduate from Boston College in 1971 with a degree in marketing. He was the recipient of the university’s scholar-athlete award as a senior. At the NYCHAA semi-finals in 1967, Jim executed one of the most unbelievable plays in basketball. Driving downcourt on two defenders, he dribbled between them and behind his back right-handed. When the defenders went for the ball on the next dribble, Jim passed it behind the back left-handed, to a trailing teammate for a layup. The fan… More: |
