Basketball net won’t stay on hoop.?

I have an older hoop and while it is still in good condition, the plastic rim attachments that hold up the net have detached over the years. Basically I need something to replace those. I have tried using zipties putting them through the net and around the hoop but they continue to come off. Anybody have a suggestion for a more permanent solution? I’m hoping for some type of metal clip.
