The Cleveland cavaliers, also known as the Cavs, sported uniforms in wine and gold from the inaugural season in 1970-71 through 1982-83. Their official colors were changed to burnt orange, white and royal blue for the 1983-84 season and to blue, black and orange in the mid-1990s. In 2003, the colors were changed back to wine and gold along with a new primary logo and two secondary logos.

At present, their home jerseys are white with wine lettering of the name and numbers in navy blue. Their road jerseys are wine with a gold trim and white lettering on the name and number. The team also uses an alternate jersey in navy blue with a checkerboard trim of wine and gold.

They compliment their jerseys with the sock and shoes they wear: white socks and shoes for navy blue jersey, while they wear black shoes and socks when wearing the wine jerseys.

Dallas Mavericks, founded in 1980, have won two division titles and one conference championship. It got its name from a “team name” contest. Mavericks advanced to their first NBA Finals upon defeating the Phoenix Suns in game 6 of the Western Conference Finals on June 3, 2006 facing Miami Heat in the finals. The team scored two convincing consecutive wins in Games 1 and 2.

Dallas city officials already planned the victory parade by then only to get disappointed in Game 3.

They were blown out again in Game 4 and suffered another loss in Game 5 which led to their loss.

The Mavericks became only the third team in NBA history to lose in the Finals after taking a 2-0 lead.

The team’s colors are dark blue, blue and silver. Their road uniforms are consist of midnight blue with silver and white trim, while the home uniforms consist of white with midnight blue, silver and black trim. They introduced the alternate green uniforms in the beginning of the 2004-2005 season, similar to their ’80s road uniforms, which was designed by rapper P. Diddy sports “Mavs” in the front side of the jersey with blue trim. The team logo is a horse head superimposed over a blue basketball, which is on a silver shield with Mavericks written in blue and black underneath underscored by a white star. Above the basketball, “Dallas” is written on a white wedge.

Excerpt: Olimpia Milano is a Lega Basket Italian professional basketball team, based in Milan, Italy, founded in 1936 by Milan businessman Adolfo Bogoncelli. Its colors are red and white, and the team is sometimes referred as “Scarpette Rosse” (Little Red Shoes) because team officials imported from the United States red Converse All-Star shoes for players. The tag line stuck, and the nickname is still used by many fans today. As usual in the Italian league, their sponsorship has kept the team name changing frequently. From 1936 until 1955, Borletti sponsored the club, then sponsorship changed to Simmenthal until 1973. Other famous sponsorships were Billy, Simac, Tracer and Philis in the Eighties. For past club sponsorship names, see the list below. It’s the most titled basketball team in Italy, having won 25 Italian Championships, 3 European Champions Cups, 4 Italian National Cups, 1 Intercontinental Cup, 3 Saporta Cups, 2 Kora Cups and many other youth titles. Well-known players that have played with the team have included: Bill Bradley, Antoine Carr, Mike D’Antoni, Earl Cureton, Joe Barry Carroll, Bob McAdoo, Dino Meneghin, Ken Barlow, Albert King, Marc Iavaroni, Aleksandar Djordjevic, Antonio Davis, Darryl Dawkins, Gregor Fuka, Dejan Bodiroga, Rolando Blackman, Anthony Bowie, Thurl Bailey, Beno Udrih, Danilo Gallinari and lately Maurice Taylor. Foreign players began playing in 1957, and the team kept winning the LEGA Basket Serie A championship of Italian basketball, with players from the 1960s including Nane Vianello, Sandro Riminucci, Pieri, and Bill Bradley. In the 60′s and the 1970s three teams were fighting across Europe for supremacy: Olimpia Milano, Ignis Varese, and Real Madrid; Pallacanestro Varese and Olimpia Milano were arch-rivals, as … More:
