How much and What Dog Food Should My Fat Pomeranian Eat?
He’s a 13 lb ball of fur, and will not lose weight no matter what. I suppose it is because I do not know how much to feed him. I started with 1/3 cup but he was still big as a basketball (he’s the same color too.) How much dog food does he need if he is supposed to be 8-10lbs? What is the best brand to give him? We’ve tried all the overweight-specific dog food, science diet, etc. but he still wont lose anything.
I want him to be able to jump up on things like he used to instead of being a lazy butt with an ottoman next to the couch and bed.
Are there any good bones that can be given to him that wont make him fat. I give him greenies, goodlife bones, and ocassionaly a rawhide.
I would have him checked by a veternarian. They will have to probably run some bloodwork and see if there is anything going on internally. 1/3 of a cup isnt really alot, but how much exercise does he get? Exercise, no matter what the breed or size, is very important.
