Basketball Training Drills Beginners

C-team as a sophomore, next year varsity as a junior.. Can it happen?

Alright, so I’ve never played a game of basketball as a team so I never learned much on how to play the game, but the coaches noticed that I was a really good dribbler, and I can shoot some 3-point shots. I’m a sophomore and I made c-team basketball. If a drill is being shown to me and I’m new to it, it takes me two tries to learn it good. I really want to make varsity basketball next year, I’m training a lot and playing with older adults, and my dad. Has any beginner from c-team basketball as a sophomore made varsity the year after that? I’m really serious and trying hard for this, it is my goal.
C-team in high school

C team? As in Class C? You can do it. Anything is possible. What I’d work on if I were you is your all around game. Become an even better dribbler and 3 point shooter. Develop a mid range game and get a lot of rebounds. You want to make sure you are one of the better players on the team and then that makes you more likely to make it on the team for the next level up. Make sure you keep playing people and play with players better than you. That’ll help a lot. Put a lot of work into the offseason and go after it, don’t look back and give it all. Do all this and you got good chances, good luck!
