Basketball Trophy Ideas
ATTENTION: Athletic Coaches and Directors. Can you help?
My son is graduating HS this June. He wants to play college basketball so bad it hurts. He has been in competive and house leagues and has enjoyed them all. He has been Athlete of the Year twice and nominated for a third. He has numerous ribbons and trophies throughout the years. His grade average in school is not perfect but around the B – C mark.
He has inquired on a couple of Christian colleges and Universities in the States in hopes to receive a scholarship – (you can’t get that here in Canada) but haven’t heard anything at this point. (WE would like for him to go to a christian college at least for the first year, regardless)
My question is: Are there anything he can do to fulfill this desire if he doesn’t play college ball? He such a good kid with a kind spirit. I need ideas. Thanks!
He could coach a youth team or something, if he can’t play.
And don’t push the Christian college thing. Trust me, they’re not all they’re cracked up to be. I went for three years and ended up with 99 credits that aren’t worth the paper they’re printed on. They won’t transfer, and I wasted three years of my life because other people wanted me to do the Christian college thing. Don’t force it on your son. Let him decide what he wants to do.
