He is also a former college basketball player, and football play-by-play announcer. He is best known for his work with World Wrestling Entertainment, where he spent nine years as a commentator, interviewer, and occasional wrestler. He is currently an anchor on ESPNews and SportsCenter. He also introduces updates on Mike and Mike in the Morning on ESPN2. Before embarking on an announcing career in professional wrestling, Coachman was a highly scouted basketball prospect.
