It is a good choice for these kinds of hair because it locks in hair moisture, preventing the hair from dehydration.
Another consideration is the heat settings. This is applicable in other hair devices as well. The heat required for various hair types vary. If there is a wide range of heat temperature to choose from, it will be easier for you to set it on a level fitting for your hair. You will need to adjust it in a level needed to achieve the hairstyle you want.
