Hockey Puck Case
Is scoring on a goalie between their legs (five-hole) kind of like making them have…..?
…..a “puck poop”?
I was pondering that in hockey, when a goal scorer nets the puck between the goalie’s legs (five-hole), from an overhead view (usually a televised replay) it looks like the goalie took a poop.
Is that part of the unspoken appeal of scoring on a goalie through the five-hole (especially in the shootout) – that you can embarrass the goalie by making him have this visual image that he just took a “puck poop”?
Any hockey players know if this is the case?
yes I know – the answer is no.
traditionally, you have 5 places to shoot to put the puck past the goalie.
1 – top right
2 – top left
3 – bottom right
4 – bottom left
or 5 – between the legs – making it the ’5-hole.’
