Ice Hockey Skates Prices
I’m going to start my first year of ice hockey?
I’m 13 years old and I want to buy a pair of hockey skates and I like skates with a flexible boot that still offer protection and I’m in between a pair of bauer xvi’s and bauer one35′s which are each $199.99 at hockeygiant.ca. So if you could tell me which one is better in the qualities above or recommend a different pair for the same rough price.
P.S. I do know that more flexible normally equals less protection but these are the average skates for house league bantam players.
By the way no Easton products ship to Canada from online stores so my only options are RBK, CCM and Bauer which are all major brands.
This may not be the answer you’re looking for, but if at all possible you should try them on to see which one feels better on your foot.
Skates aren’t cheap; $200 is a lot of money.
Another brand to consider is Mission, and they have tried to get away from the super-stiff boots.
