Swolen ankle from second degree sprain a few months ago?
In late April I rolled my right ankle to the inside while playing pickup basketball, thus causing a second degree sprain of my ankle. It put an end to my lacrosse season unfortunately and I went to a month’s worth of physical therapy three times a week. It was initially very swollen, but quickly simmered down. It is now late August, and my ankle is still moderately swollen aroun the outside of the bone and around my achilles tendon. It no longer hurts but just gets a little sore when I run on it a lot which is expected for 6 months I believe. My question is whether the swelling should have been gone by now? There is no bruising or discoloration so I’m not sure what the time frame should be on this…Thanks for any help
it’s a long term damage…… eventually you’ll get used to it like an every day thing… I had long term damage to my leg from something I completely forgot…. been there for years… something that happened a long time ago that wasn’t that bad similar to your sprained ankle
