Lacrosse Goal Targets
What, in your opinion, is the most difficult position to play in women’s lacrosse?
Today at practice our coach began yelling at us because we, while doing shots on goal to warm up the goalie, were not cheering our goalie on (well, I was, and only a few other girls). Then he said that goalie was the hardest position to play, etc, and how we could only keep our mouths shut when we were all willing to get in the goal. I figure that even though the goalie is standing right in the target of seven other girls, girls on the field have less protection, the same small rubber ball is being thrown at them, defenders sometimes hit field players in the face or neck, and we have to run a lot on top of it all. Agree that goalie is the hardest position, or do you think another field position is more difficult to play?
