Montreal Hockey Trades
Quickly! Is this a good hockey trade?
I was offered Duncan Keith (Chicago defenseman) for my P.K. Subban (Montreal defenseman). Will this be a good trade?
Take Keith
1) Keith is the defending Norris Trophy winner (emblamatic of the NHL’s best defenceman) and Subban wasn’t among the top 28
2) Keith is 10th among defencemen in scoring with 15 points, Subban is 51st with 9 points
3) Keith plays on his teams top defensive pair and averages 27:35 ice time/game (tops in the NHL) and Subban plays on the 2nd pair and averages 20:35 ice/time game (163rd among defencemen and 319th in the NHL)
4) Keith leads all defencemen in all-star votes, Subban isn’t even on the ballot (and after the first week his write in ballots only had him 38th in the voting out of 90 or so defencemen)
There is absolutely no reason to reject that trade unless you are P.K. Subban (and NHL and NHLPA rules prevent players from participating in fantasy hockey so I know you are’t)
