Leslie Falmar, Warren Harmel & Augustine Jalomo
This discussion will offer perspectives on digital media and U.S. Hispanics, the fastest growing communities in the nation. Led by Augustine Jalomo, Warren Harmel and Leslie Falmer, the purpose of this meet up is to gain insight into current trends in Hispanic usage of the Internet, VOIP, mobile technology and social media. There will be discussion on the Hispanic Youth segment, projections for usage of digital media and notes on specific case studies.
Leslie Falmar – Leslie has over 20 years in the industry on all aspects of marketing communications business including production, media, creative and account service. Leslie has delivered on strategies for a variety of clients including: Quaker Oats, Gatorade, JCPenney, Sears, Kraft, Duracell, Gillette, Chivas Regal, Qwest and P&G. Leslie started her own minority-owned agency in 1995 and has worked with several leading U.S. and Puerto Rican Hispanic agencies including Dieste Harmel, Ornelas & Associates, Mendoza-Dillon, Anita Santiago, PanaVista! and McCann WorldGroup.
Warren Harmel – Warren has over 33 years of international marketing, advertising and business experience, and has advised major corporations including AT&T, Pepsi Cola, Frito Lay, Clorox, JCPenney, Western Union, Pizza Hut, Gatorade, Tropicana, Anheuser Busch, Hyundai, Pfizer, GE, Quaker, Hershey, Taco Bell and Southwest Airlines. He has won several Effie awards for effective advertising, as well as two prestigious David Ogilvy Research Awards for marketing strategy. Warren founded Dieste Harmel in 1995 and is now the largest U.S. Hispanic agency in the nation.
Augustine “Tino” Jalomo – Tino has over 17 years of experience in advertising, marketing and brand development. He has served as regional marketing manager for DISH Network and as marketing manager for Time Warner Cable. Augustine has developed first time U.S. Latino marketing and branding efforts for such clients as Visa, Smith Barney, Sally, Mrs Baird’s, HBO Latino and Ugly Duckling. Augustine was one of the original members of the largest Hispanic agency, Dieste Harmel in 1995 and opened their New York City office in 2000. He has worked at Ornelas & Associates, Moroch, Siboney and McCann Erickson.
