ACT Composite: 31~~~about 2100 SAT

(I’m taking the ACT one last time in 2 weeks and shooting for a 32 composite)

-National Honor Society Fundraising Chairman
-2 Varsity letters for the high school soccer team
-play club soccer as well (play in notable tournaments all over E. Coast and have played in Europe too)
Key Club member (about 100 hours logged)
-Meals on Wheels food deliverer
-tutor students at our school who have come from foreign countries that know little or no english
-Volunteer at the Special Olympics each year (was the Games Station leader last year….not that impressive haha but i guess its leadership)

You seem very competitive. Your grades and test scores are above average for Notre Dame and it sounds like you’ve taken a strong college preparatory curriculum (which matters because a 4.0 in easy classes won’t be as compelling as a 4.0 in college-prep/AP classes.)
Your volunteering work is great and will help you stand out, and the sports shows diversity in your interest.
Of course there are many other students who have similar strengths. To help yourself stand out, I think you should highlight a high level of commitment and leadership within one of these areas – for example, in your essays focus on the increasing responsibility you’ve taken on in one of these organizations or something along those lines.
Also, do a lot of research into Notre Dame and in your essays, highlight what makes you really fit with the campus. Contact the campus, ask to speak to current students/admissions people, etc. All of this helps them get to know you as an individual and indicates increased interest.
The top schools have so many strong applicants that they really seek out those that show that they WANT this campus. They know you’ll have your pick of lots of top schools so show that they are your #1 choice.
