Half the training session is wasted because the coach feels the need to instruct every move. As a coach, if you are striving for perfection you might want to start pulling your hair out now. Save your time and energy and play lawn bowls. The kids are young and need to learn from their mistakes. Let them play and remember that the training session is not about you.
Soccer coaching drills should also be played out in match conditions. Players should treat the training session as if it were a match. If the training session does not replicate match conditions then you and the kids are wasting your time. Install discipline in your team, but enforce it with a smile.
