How to get a scholarship to an ivy league school?
Okay, so I know that scholarships in ivy league schools are supposed to only be need-based and not merit-based, but I was wondering if there is any possibility that you could get one based on grades or anything, like if you were in the ib program, valedictorian, 5.2 weighted gpa, 4.0 unweighted, multiple extra curriculars (including speech and debate, national history day, national honor society, national spanish honor society, community service club, newspaper- editor), many sports inside of school (cross-country, diving and track- all on varsity for four years) and outside of school (tennis, diving, swimming, and soccer), community service (at least 200 hours including free tutoring), jobs (lifeguarding, summer scholars- helping out teachers with summer school kids, dairy queen, and internship at the children’s hospital), I skipped a grade, and I am trilingual (english, spanish, and french, and fluent in all)
so, do you think that I could get a scholarship based on merit?
No, because you don’t know the president, silly. Hell, with a record like that, maybe you should be president. You are already fluent in three more languages than him.
